Author Update: Has it been a month?

Whoops, was my exact thought when I realized that several Fridays have gone by and this blog has been silent. My apologies for the lack of content, but I promise that hasn’t been out of a lack of things going on.

BOOK REVIEWS

I have several book reviews planned for series like The Lotus War, and books like Mythos, and Small Gods. I may do reviews for my nonfiction reads, but those are usually read for particular book research and I’m unsure if anyone would be interested in hearing about that (feel free to comment and let me know one way or another).

THE DYING SUN

That stack of papers is the last pre-format copy of ‘The Dying Sun’ printed out.

If you have joined our Patreon ($1 a month!) you’ll have seen a few posts come up (although some of those ones are set to the $25 a month level). We are close to the finish line with publishing! There are a few final format items to tick off the list, and then Sword & Board will be happy to announce The Dying Sun’s release date!

Adrian felt a lump form in his throat as he picked it up. He’d only felt this much dread over one other message. Last time, the fate of the Rising Sun Throne had hung in the balance. Now, Adrian worried there were even higher stakes.

THE PANTHEON PROPHET

I am 52 000 words deep into book 2! My goal is to make sure that there isn’t a long gap between books 1 and 2, as is there anything worse than waiting for years and years for the sequel? At this point, I am most of the way through writing the bones of the book. I will be releasing a post on Patreon (at the $1 level) soon regarding my writing process if you are interested in learning more about it!

As always, thank you all for your support (both from sharing the blog posts, supporting the Patreon, or simply liking the Instagram or Facebook posts). It means everything to an indie author and publishing company that there are people from all over the world interested in this project.

Stay safe, stay home, and enjoy a good book.

-L.J.
